JIC stands for Joint Industry Council and are suitable to apply in fluid power system where the power is transmitted and controlled through a fluid under pressure and it is also applicable for general application where the fluid is conveyed under high pressure. Fitting sizes are designed to correspond with tubing outer diameter (OD) for various types of tube ends. JIC fitting is used to connect tube in metric and inches size with sleeve and nut upon installation. It is used to install with the assembly of hoses.
